Google I/O 2017

Google's annual event for Android and Chrome developers is held every year in Mountain View, California in the spring, with the dates announced via a game or puzzle early each year. In 2017 the format was a virtual scavenger hunt, announced on the Google for Developers Twitter and posted to Google+. From there users would follow the trail to sites like a GitHub repository and an unlisted YouTube video, all containing coordinates in various countries. Placing the letters of said countries into a chessboard on the puzzle site revealed the location and date of the next conference: Shoreline Amphitheater, May 17–19.
