Grand Prix Construction Set
Description
Grand Prix Construction Set is a 1–2 player race track construction and racing game for the BBC Micro.
The player can create their own racetrack including chicanes, straights, fast bends, sharp bends, and humpback bridges. There are also a number of prebuilt tracks based upon famous real racetracks.
Before each race the player chooses the number of laps and whether to compete against a human or computer opponent. Both cars are shown as a horizontal split screen. There are five levels of computer opponent. Races occur from the perspective behind the cars, and cars can accelerate, brake, and steer left and right. If the player hits a barrier or another car too fast they are destroyed, and the other racer wins.
