Description

Great Air Battles: 1941-1942 is a combat aircraft flight simulator created with Domark and Simis' Flight Sim Toolkit. The game is set in the Pacific theatre of World War II. Covering a number of historical scenarios, it allows to fly either US or Japanese aircraft of the period in various missions that include target destruction, interception, defence etc. Some missions start the player on the runway, others in mid-air.

Great Air Battles was marketed as shareware, with only several missions from the Pearl Harbor scenario available in the unregistered demo version. The full game was advertised to include the remaining Pearl Harbor missions plus six more scenarios: Wake Island, Coral Sea, Midway, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands and Santa Cruz.
