Hangman

One of many Hangman games for the Commodore PET. This particular version lets the player choose between five different categories of words: computers, sports, cars, nations and pot pourri. According to the help screen the player's best friend is arrested and charged with arson, treason, armed robbery, public drunkenness, murder, mayhem, ignorance and ugliness. To save him the judge has challenged the player to a game of hangman. The player is allowed to make eight mistakes before his friend ends up at the gallows.

Instead of a person and gallows slowly being drawn the gallows are already there and the person slowly moves the stairs towards it.
