Happy Gilmore: Golf Mayhem Demo '98

Description

Happy Gilmore: Golf Mayhem ’98 Demo is a tie-in game released alongside the movie Happy Gilmore 2. It is designed as a tongue-in-cheek throwback to 1990s console demos, blending surreal humor with rudimentary sports action.

Presented with deliberately low-poly visuals reminiscent of PlayStation and Nintendo 64 titles, the game casts players as Happy Gilmore on a single exaggerated par-4 hole. Play alternates between timed golf shots, where missed windows trigger heckler interludes and slapstick cut-scenes, and a series of optional diversions, including physics-heavy golf-cart trials and a brief beat-'em-up against rowdy spectators. As progress is made toward the green, short vignettes featuring Shooter McGavin, Chubbs Peterson's ghost, or other characters appear. The round concludes with a parody boss fight against Bob Barker before a high-score entry screen.
