Hearts

Hearts is a 1 - player card game for the Apple II.

A graphical card game of hearts, the player can compete against five separate sets of opponents: Cowboys, The Ladies, The Gang, Lunch Bunch, and Office Crew. The full deck is divided among the 4 players, and each player can choose 3 cards to distribute to their opponent in a clockwise direction. Players take turns playing a card from their hand, with the first player choosing a suit, and every other player must play a card from the same suit. If the player does not have a card from that suit, they can play any card in their hand. The player who plays the highest card of the suit must take all four cards. Each heart card is worth 1 point, while the queen of spades is worth 13 points. The program keeps track of score each game.
