Hollywood

Description
Hollywood is an educational game which allows children to create their own movies. After choosing the setting and the characters on screen, the main work is writing the script. Here the player chooses the active character and writes their dialogue just like in a text editor. Optionally the character's actions and demeanor can be changed, e.g. the character could be on the phone, become panicked or leave the scene. It is also possible to add sound effects.
When the script stands, the only thing left to do is watching it in motion. The dialogue is performed through text-to-speech. While it always keeps the usual chopped nature of the technology, the character menu allows to choose between a multitude of different voices. Those change the gender, speed and pitch of the performance. The finished script can be printed, but the movie has to be viewed within the game.
