Honkai: Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail is a live service free-to-play JRPG set within the Honkai multiverse. The player wakes up on a space station with a Stellaron inside them, a mysterious object of immense destructive power capable of planetwide catastrophes. They soon find themselves joining the crew of the Astral Express, a group of intergalactic travelers that explore the cosmos, solving disasters caused by Stellarons. Along the way, they attract the attention of Aeons, powerful deities that each have their own unfathomable agendas.

Combat is turn-based, with dynamic turn ordering. Certain skills can speed up or slow down characters in the battle, affecting their turn order. The player can activate a character's ultimate ability at any time, including during an enemy's turn. Enemies also have elemental weaknesses that reduce their "toughness" gage, which, when depleted, "breaks" the enemy, causing a breakness status effect such as bleed or freeze.

Characters and weapons are mainly acquired with a gacha system, in which the player can use currency either earned in-game or paid with real money via microtransactions to buy gacha tickets that are used on either a character or weapon banner. Banners are often time limited, and many characters and weapons can only be acquired for a set period of a few weeks at a time.
