Howrse

Howrse is a free-to-play online horse breeding and management simulation. It lets players breed, train, and care for horses while managing their own equestrian centers and participating in a large, social online community.

Players begin by adopting a horse from over 50 breeds with various coats and traits, including ponies, donkeys, and even unicorns. Horses must be fed, groomed, and kept happy through daily care, training, and attention. Once old enough, horses can specialize in classical or western riding disciplines, competing in events such as dressage, show jumping, barrel racing, and reining. Equipment and training improve performance, while participation in Grand Prix events yields rewards and prestige.

Beyond individual care, players can breed horses to improve genetics and skills, analyze parent traits through the BLUP system, and manage herds for profit or reputation. A player-run economy allows users to operate equestrian centers, organize competitions, and sell horses or services. Social features include teams, leaderboards, and forums for collaboration and discussion.

Players can also customize horses and environments using artwork created by the community, participate in monthly mini-games, and take part in seasonal events. While available as a mobile app, the full feature set, including equestrian center management, is accessible on the browser version.

Howrse features microtransactions via "passes", a premium currency used to acquire rare horses, cosmetics, or gameplay advantages.
