IMAGO: Beyond the Nightmares

Description
Meet Marty Burton, an ex-detective with a secret to tell. Hallucinations bringing him into a dark and hostile world where mysterious creatures hide the keys to unfathomable truths have been plaguing him for years. After a long period of inactivity, Marty is back in action, thanks to a wealthy oil tycoon who wants him to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his nephew on the fog-covered Quiet Island. But Marty, unstable as he is, isn't taking any chances, bringing along his beloved rag puppet and trusty assistant, Arthur. Sadly, Marty doesn't realize he's about to experience an ecological disaster for which his employer may be responsible. Not only that, but an obscure figure from his and Arthur's past is hot on his trail.
IMAGO: Beyond the Nightmares is a survival horror adventure game divided into two types of stages. In the investigative stages, Marty can talk to the characters in the real world, find hidden documents, and collect clues to solve the case. But when Marty loses his mind, he enters the survival stages of his fictional world and must escape, hide, and solve environmental puzzles (based on logic, research, and memory) to get away from the demons plaguing him. But no two enemies can be beaten in the same way. The real world is not immune to threats, however, but Marty can use a gun to defend himself, as well as run, walk, crawl, interact with the environment, collect or examine items, read documents, and use a flashlight to illuminate dark places. Sometimes Arthur can help Marty solve puzzles by giving clues and observations. As the player progresses through the game and reveals more of the story, he or she can learn more about Marty through flashbacks and figure out (maybe) why he's the way he is.
