imomushi

imomushi is a 2d platforming game in which the player controls a caterpillar and is challenged to reach the top. There is only one level and the game provides no checkpoints, similar to other "fall action" games like Jump King. As time passes in the game, the player will begin to see ghosts of their past selves, which are meant to help them see where they went wrong and also provide a sort of companionship for the harsh challenges the game throws at them. The only controls are left and right on the keyboard to move, and spacebar to jump. Because the player is a caterpillar, they also have a certain amount of friction up steep inclines. The game will slow down for dramatic effect when the player loses a lot of progress by falling a long way.
