JAMband

JAMband is a rhythm game following closely in the footsteps of the Rock Band series and similar games, but with a selection of Christian Contemporary music (40 songs are included). Up to six players are supported, using USB microphones, guitar, bass, and drum controllers, or the PC keyboard (up to two controllers, up to four microphones). On-screen characters can be customized, with additional options unlocking during play.

The main gameplay matches many other rhythm games; as a song plays, buttons proceed towards a line; when they hit the line, the player hits the matching buttons on their controller or keyboard, or sings the matching note into their microphone. (Separate sections exist for each instrument.) Good performance will lead to high scores and unlocking more outfit options and new venues. Songs can be played on Amateur or Pro skill levels.

There is also a Vocal Lessons area, which requires a microphone. These include two minigames to help with hitting particular notes, Tune -A- Tuna, and Pitch -N- Pass. In Tune -A- Tuna, the player moves a basket back and forth to catch fish by hitting one of two notes. In Pitch -N- Pass, the player causes a race car to move forward by hitting a particular note. There are also two helper applications: range finder gives the player's vocal range, and Do Re Mi shows what note the player is currently singing.
