Jogo de Saltar

Jogo de Saltar is a one button tap action game based on a sketch of popular Portuguese comedy series Bruno Aleixo. Heavily inspired by Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (the game originally played in the sketch) the player takes on the role of a Blanka-like character with a Wookie-like design as they dodge blasts thrown at them by a muscled representation of the sketch's co-protagonist.

Gameplay consists of tapping the screen to jump to avoid energy blasts thrown at the player at random intervals. There's a counter at the top of the screen and with each successful dodge +1 is added to it. The game keeps track of the highest score the player has with the stated goal being to "beat your personal best". Each increase in score increases the speed of the energy blast thrown making dodging harder. At random, lines from the licensed character, performed by their original voice actor can be heard as gameplay progresses.

Upon death the player is presented with a link to a newsletter and given the option to subscribe to it. This is the sole purpose of the game as it was released to promote this newsletter. The link leads to a 404 page as the page has since been moved to a different url.
