Description
JongPuzzle is a single player, shareware, tile matching game
The game is an implementation of classic tile matching game where tiles are arranged in a rectangle and the player must connect pairs of identical tiles with horizontal and/or vertical lines, the only rules being that the tiles must have one free edge; the lines must not pass over another tile; and the lines must not make more than two corners.
This game has been available for some time. Version 1.0 was shareware and was available for download in 2001, it was developed and enhanced for many years, the last recorded version, v3.85, was released in 2016 as freeware. As a shareware game it was released complete but the functionality was limited to just two or three game sizes, depending on version, and every so often a nag screen would pop up during a game. Players purchased an unlock code to get the full game, no discs were sent out.
The early version of the game had seven game sizes, four tile sets and one background image. Version 3.85 has nine file layouts, a high score table, nine tiles sets plus the options to either use a third party tile set or import a .bmp picture, twelve backgrounds, and save game, hint and auto solve functions
