King Arthur

King Arthur is a 1-player strategy war game for the TRS-80.

In 520 A.D. the Romans had abandoned Britain for a century. Barbaric Anglo-Saxon invaders sailing from the continent in longships had colonized the east coast and were gradually pushing westwards. At last a new leader united the quarreling British tribes, and led them against the invaders. His name was Arthur.

The list of British cities and the number of men available is displayed along with a map of England and Wales. Each turn the player can send a spy to several cities to determine how many troops are there. The player then rallies troops to an allied city for the campaigning season. The player has 2 turns, and can move their troops to cities near the rallied city to battle enemy troops and capture cities. The Anglo-Saxon forces can do the same each turn. The goal is to defeat the Anglo-Saxons, and drive them back into the sea.
