King of Dragon Pass is a strategy and role-playing simulation game that interweaves interactive storytelling with clan management. Set in the richly mythological world of Glorantha, players guide an Orlanthi clan across multiple generations as they settle in the volatile frontier region of Dragon Pass - navigating diplomacy, myth, trade, and warfare as they seek to forge a new homeland.

Gameplay unfolds through a season-by-season structure, where the player, advising a seven-member clan ring, makes two macro-level decisions each season - choices ranging from resource allocation and diplomacy to participation in spiritual rituals or combat. The game presents hundreds of randomized events, from mundane legal disputes to wild spiritual phenomena - each influenced by prior choices and capable of triggering long-term consequences. Battles are resolved through strategic preparation and the direction of noble advisors, while the game’s visuals rely on evocative hand-painted art rather than animation.
