Kira Kira Star Night

Fami-chan's friend Paso-kun has a huge problem: he's accidentally scattered the sleeping stars all across the night sky, and in revenge the Moon Goddess has turned him into a mouse! Worse, if no one helps, the lost stars will wander forever and the sky will never look right again. It's up to Fami-chan to travel the world collecting stars and returning them to their homes.

This music-driven 2D platformer has Fami-chan walking through different colourful stages catching stars. Stars come down from the sky in waves to the beat of bouncy chiptune music; Fami-chan can jump to catch them as they fall. Each level is timed, and players need to try to maximize their score by collecting as many stars as they can. While players have to collect a minimum number of stars to pass each level, the real challenge is collecting many more to maximize their score. Collecting every star in a wave gives the player an extra perfect bonus, and each subsequent perfect bonus in a level is worth more. There are two different courses, each with their own set of levels, and each level features a different song.

This CD-ROM release contains the Windows version, a game ROM playable on a real NES or in an emulator, and the soundtrack. It also includes the "Kira Kira Star Night: Perfect Book" featuring original art by the game's creator, guest art by other artists, and the game's story.
