Kuru Kuru Cube

Game cover: Kuru Kuru Cube

Description

Kuru Kuru Cube is an action puzzle game in which the player must arrange colored tiles on a grid in order to remove them from the play area. The player controls a 2-by-2 cursor within a 6-by-6 grid, and can rotate either the tiles within the cursor or the entire playfield by 90 degrees in either direction. If four or more tiles of the same color are connected together, they will disappear from the playfield and cause tiles above them to vanish; removing more tiles at once or chaining them together in a combo will earn more points, and in versus modes will send more tiles to the opposing player. Tiles continuously fall from the top of the screen, and if three rows of waiting tiles pile up on top of the playfield, that player loses and the game is over.

The game includes a total of five different play modes: three single-player modes and two two-player modes. The single player modes are a story mode in which the player must defeat a series of increasingly-tough opponents, and endless mode that continues until the player loses, and a score challenge mode where the player must earn the most points possible within a limited time. For two players, there is a versus mode similar to the story mode where players clear tiles to send attacks to their opponent, and a score challenge mode where players compete for the highest score within a time limit.
