La femme qui ne supportait pas les ordinateurs...
Description
La femme qui ne supportait pas les ordinateurs... is a French-language text-only interactive fiction game. It is set within (and recreates an interface similar to) the Calvados network, an early 1980s network (similar to IRC) for Apple II, and makes numerous references to the "scene" and its participants, including the authors Chine Lanzmann and Jean-Louis Le Breton.
The game starts with your computer "rebelling" against yourself, which is revealed to be the work for a hacker. The gameplay consists in selecting between several choices; while most don't affect the story, several branching points send you on different paths, until you reach one of the six endings.
The game may be one of the first to ever discuss gender-based harassment in cyberspace and women's experiences on social media; it is notable as one of the first French games authored by a woman, and for its feminist perspective.
