La Guillotine
Description
La Guillotine is a French language learning game for the Apple II.
Devised as a version of Hangman, but with a guillotine. The player chooses easy or hard words from topics including: In the classroom, around the home, dates and time, at a restaurant, professions, and potpourri. The player must choose letters to see if they are contained within the hidden word. With each incorrect guess, the guillotine begins to descend, and with 5 mistakes, a man is decapitated.
