LEGO Fever

Game cover: LEGO Fever

Description

LEGO Fever is a puzzle platformer based on the popular construction toy. The game centres around two LEGO minifigures, Harry and Jens, who set out to bring color and creativity to a gray and boring world with the power of LEGO bricks.

There are three game modes. The first, Puzzle Mode, is similar to gameLab's previous game Junkbot. The player must place LEGO bricks to help Jens to navigate the level and touch gray, bored humans to turn them into cheerful minifigures. Jens runs constantly in one direction, changing direction only if a tall object or wide gap blocks his path. He can climb over objects that are one brick tall and jump over gaps that are one brick wide, but turns back when faced with taller or wider obstacles. He must also avoid taps of dripping gray liquid, which will sap him of his creativity and cause the player to lose the level. The player is challenged to complete levels in the least amount of moves possible.

In Chase Mode, Harry runs constantly, trying to liberate as many bored humans as possible while the screen scrolls to the right. Like in Puzzle mode, the player must place LEGO bricks to help him navigate the level and avoid dripping taps. Placing bricks consumes energy from a 'Brick Energy' meter which can be replenished by collecting energy pellets.

In Clump Mode, the player must drag and drop bricks to create stacks of three or more of the same color. Creating stacks fills an energy meter which must be filled within a certain time limit. There are 'Normal' and 'Expert' thresholds.
