Life Is Strange: Before the Storm - Episode 3: Hell Is Empty

Description

Rachel just found out the woman her father kissed was her biological mother. As Rachel learns the whole truth... at least the way her father decides to tell her, Chloe can choose to be by her side or let her soak in all the new info alone. In a blink of an eye, Rachel's world has changed, and with it the reason to leave the Arcadia together with Chloe. After trying to cheer her up a bit, Chloe sneaks back home to change clothes and take some stuff, and finds out her mother is getting really along with David. Furthermore, David would want Chloe and him to start anew, preferably without any resentments.

Back on the scrap yard, Chloe is really getting close to fixing that piece of scrap she calls a car. When Frank brings his drug dealing friend to scrap yard to scare Chloe and Rachel off, things turn south and Rachel gets shots. As Frank steps in to stop things from escalating, Chloe speeds to the hospital in her new car, along with wounded Rachel. Upon snooping some more in mayor's office, Chloe finds out a plot to kill Rachel's mother in order to keep her away from her. When all is said and done, Chloe gets to choose whether to keep the entire truth from Rachel and let her live the idyllic life with her parents, or tell her the truth and forever keep them apart.

Gameplay-wise, the game doesn't change and follows the same pattern of exploration, talking to other characters, branching story, backtalk challenges, and painting graffiti. Ending ultimately shows various scenes that lead to what was already set in the original Life Is Strange game such as Chloe's mom and David being married, or Rachel gone missing due to being kidnapped by the serial killer that Max and Chloe later face in the original game.
