Light&Shadow
Description
Light&Shadow is a different take on Reversi board game concept. It uses the same 8x8 board and black/white pieces. What makes the game different is that the board is filled with black and white pieces except for a single field. The player's goal is to fill the right side of the "progress bar" at the bottom of the screen by collecting four or more white pieces in a row. The game features two modes: Time Trial and Puzzle. There are three difficulty levels.
The basic mechanic in the game is flipping the piece. Clicking on a piece adjacent to an empty field makes it "flip" there and reverses the color (from white to black and vice versa). The player has to avoid making vertical or horizontal lines with black pieces as this causes the "progress bar" to be filled on the left side and eventually results in a game over. Apart from the standard black white pieces there are also "neutral" pieces and bonus pieces that result in more points once collected in a row.
The game is distributed via the shareware model. There are twelve levels in the free version and over 150 levels in the full version.
