Little Alchemy

Little Alchemy is a game about combining elements. The game starts with four elements (earth, fire, water and wind) and these can be used to create 540 elements and combinations. For instance combining earth and water creates mud, fire and water makes steam etc. Further combinations are possible because the result of a combination is also used. For instance once a human has been created, combining it with the moon creates an astronaut.

All elements are listed in a column on the right hand side with letters to access them quickly once there are many. Elements can be dragged to a canvas on the left where they can be put down anywhere. A combination is formed by dragging one element over another one. If it is accepted, a new element appears. Not all elements can be combined, so the player has to think about logical connections. The game has a hint function and when clicking or tapping an element the components are displayed.
