Live Billiards

Live Billiards is a pool game for one or two people. In 2001 players originally paid a subscription to play the game on-line with the game being available as a free download for solo play. Later this model changed

There are six kinds of game available here, 3-Ball, 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Straight Pool, 14+1, and Pyramid. The games can be practiced alone, practiced with an AI opponent or played against an opponent, opponents can be human or AI and there are nine levels of AI expertise to choose from. With each game the number of frames needed to win the match can be adjusted, the default is two.

The features two kinds of table and on each of these the colour of the cloth can be adjusted. It can be played either with the mouse or the keyboard and can be played as a two player 'hot-seat' game or over a network.. The configuration screens allow it to be played full screen or in a window, the level of detail shown can be customised, and there are multiple screen sizes to choose from.
