Lone Case: Locomotive Breath

Game cover: Lone Case: Locomotive Breath

Description

Locomotive Breath is the first game in the Lone Case trilogy starring Dave Dell. A shadow of his former self, this detective spends his days drinking at the The Swigging Bushman. One of his famous cases, putting a man called O'Riley behind bars, comes back to haunt him. He has escaped prison and now holds a nuclear device on a train. As his boss gets murdered, Dell needs to tighten up and stop O'Riley before he has the chance to activate the device.

This AGS adventure uses a classic point-and-click interface. The right mouse button is used to cycle through actions, left click activates them and the middle mouse buttons accesses the inventory. The game uses a Discworld Noir-inspired notebook system to interrogate other characters, but it is only used once in the game in order to progress. Drawn graphics are mixed with appear to be rendered or FMV sequences.
