Lozenge and Hampshire: The Case of the Baronial Stiff
Description
The Case of the Baronial Stiff is the third game in the Lozenge and Hampshire series, featuring the eponymous detective duo trying to solve two crimes: a theft of rare books at Shrompshire Hotel, and the murder of baron Huntley at Huntley Hall, in the countryside. Besides new content, it includes all of the locations and many of the characters from the previous games. Since it is a parody on Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, the events are set in a world heavily inspired by the late Victorian era, with a dose of humor added in.
The game is a standard third-person point-and-click adventure. The player takes control of Lozenge, travels around looking for clues, talks to other characters, collects items and uses them on other objects to solve puzzles. A component tied to an id submitted in the beginning autosaves all progress made, with the option of resuming it at a later time.
