Mad Panic Coaster

Batayan and Kyako, two elementary school students, are out on a skateboarding date, as a shadowy figure creeps up behind them. The next thing they know, they are suddenly on a coaster, abducted to Mad Land by the creepy Dr. Jones. He tells them about his son Masao, who loved roller coasters. For his son, he dedicated his life to build the best roller coaster in the world. One day however, a spark ignited the coaster under construction, burning it down and disfiguring the doctor. Still, he did not give up, and after many years, the coaster was completed. But Masao had already grown up, and did not care about coasters anymore.

Mad Panic Coaster is a fast-paced roller coaster action game with a mix of punk/skating and horror/monster themes. While rushing along the roller coaster track at ludicrous speeds, try to avoid enemies, obstacles and falling off. There are five environments with three stages each, and a boss fight after every third stage. Survive three laps around the track to finish a stage. There is a health bar which depletes when you fall off the track or take hits; falling off with an empty health bar leads to a game over.

The game features a sizable soundtrack of punk rock and metal tracks. The music director of the game, credited as "Kenny", is said to be Ken Yokohama of the Japanese punk rock band Hi-Standard.
