Majesty of Sprites

Majesty of Sprites is a sidescrolling platformer game more or less comparable to The Great Giana Sisters. Kate enters into a gigantic world of platforms, jumps, foes and fairies within an enchanted book to find her lost sister Clara.

In the first part, the game has flick scrolling. There are 6 worlds with different themes, all split into 2 levels. A certain amount of hearts has to be sought out and collected in order to complete the levels.

If you reach the exit at the end of a level without the required amount of hearts, you have to restart it from the beginning! These hearts also serve as extra lives. You also have a health bar. Balls can be collected to throw at unfriendly creatures. Checkpoints are in the middle of the levels.

For a bonus, there is a second part added to the game more recently - 3 huge free-roaming levels with multi-directional scrolling. The two parts are separate and are selectable from a menu.

The game itself is freeware, but physical disk with artwork and packaging can be ordered from Psytronik.
