Malayalam: Island of Mysteries

Malayalam: Island of Mysteries is a survival game where the player assumes the role of a shipwrecked man. Stranded on the island of Malayalam, he has to explore the island, uncover its mysteries, and ensure his own survival by getting enough food and drink. Rather than just letting the player loose without guidance, like most survival games do, Malayalam provides some quests for the player to pursue.

The game is an interesting curiosity, as it was released many years before the survival game boom but already has most of the genre's defining features: hunger and thirst meters, harvesting resources and crafting items, and so on.
