Martian Placement
Description
Martian Placement is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.
Martian ships are gathering, placing themselves in battle formation, preparing to launch a strike against the player's fleet. The player is on a mission to extract fuel from comets, and the Martians needs this fuel to power their fleet. The player must protect their fleet from the Martian menace.
The player controls a spaceship that moves and fires in the cardinal directions. Comets move horizontally across the screen, and Martian ships approach from the bottom of the screen. The player has limited fuel, and shooting comets replenishes this. The player must shoot the Martian ships to prevent them from stealing energy. The player advances to the next stage after destroying several Martian ships. The player can lose a life by running out of fuel, or being hit by a comet or Martian vessel.
