Marvel Spider-Man

Description
Marvel’s Spider-Man is a single-player, open-world action game. The story follows Peter Parker eight years after becoming Spider-Man, as he struggles to balance his civilian life with his role as New York’s protector. Early in the game, Spider-Man defeats Wilson Fisk, but this creates a power vacuum that allows a new faction called the Inner Demons to rise, led by Martin Li, also known as Mister Negative. As Parker investigates, he uncovers a larger conspiracy involving Oscorp and must stop a threat that endangers both the city and the people closest to him.
The player controls Spider-Man in an open-world recreation of Manhattan. Movement is built around web-swinging, wall-running, parkour, and acrobatic maneuvers that allow traversal across rooftops and city streets. Combat uses a free-flowing system that mixes punches, kicks, web gadgets, and environmental interaction. Spider-Man can dodge, counter, and juggle enemies in mid-air, with combos chaining into powerful finishers. Stealth is also integrated, allowing players to silently eliminate enemies from ledges or ceilings using web takedowns.
Progression is tied to experience points earned from missions, combat, and exploration. Leveling up grants skill points, which are spent across three trees: Innovator, Defender, and Webslinger. Each tree unlocks new moves, such as disarming opponents, throwing objects, or enhancing aerial attacks. Players also acquire tokens by completing side activities, which are used to craft and upgrade Spider-Man’s suits, gadgets, and suit powers. Suits are cosmetic but include unique abilities, while gadgets range from web bombs and electric webs to trip mines and drones.
The game world includes main missions, side missions, and activities spread across Manhattan. Players can stop random crimes, dismantle enemy bases, photograph landmarks, and complete research challenges. Collectibles such as backpacks reveal pieces of Peter’s history, while Oscorp labs offer mini-games focused on circuitry and spectrograph puzzles. These optional objectives contribute resources and narrative detail while encouraging exploration of the city. Major villains such as Electro, Vulture, Rhino, and Scorpion appear in staged encounters that test traversal and combat mechanics simultaneously.
