Math Decathlon
Description
Math Decathlon is a 1 - 4 player math challenge game for the Apple II.
The player and up to 3 opponents compete at 10 separate math challenges, with the possibility of scoring up to 30 points per event. The player can choose to have the anthem of the USA, Great Britain, France, or Scotland play after each event. Each event contains 3 questions scored out of 10 points each, and each player must compete in all 10 events.
Challenges include:
- Find the Missing Number - Fill in the missing digit in a 6 digit series
- Guess a Number - Trying to guess a number between 1 - 30 in as few turns as possible
- Speed Math - Try to solve 3 short math questions as quickly as possible
- Starry Starry Night - Try to guess the number of pixels in a picture over several seconds
- Lowest Common Denominator - Determine the lowest common denominator for 3 fractions
- Magic Squares - Fill a 3 x 3 magic square with 2 numbers missing
- Clock Math - Determine the time using a non-60 minute/hour clock
- Mental Math - Do a series of math questions rapidly played out on the screen
- Penny Battle - A game of Nim starting with 30 pennies
- Binary Battle - Doing math problems in binary
