Maya the Bee: A Wonderful Surprise!
Description
One of the games based on Maya the Bee ("Die Biene Maja"), a German book by Waldemar Bonsels (1912) and the even more well-known anime television series from Japan (1975-1976).
In Maya the Bee: A Wonderful Surprise!, we meet Willy and Flip, who discover it is Maya's birthday today, and so they decide to organize a surprise party for her.
As Willy tries to gather the gifts and the guests among other insects and animals, there are six mini-games that must be completed to make the surprise party possible. Each of those has three difficulty levels and is available from a separate menu anytime after it is discovered in the adventure mode. The mini-games include juggling (by throwing colored balls to the jugglers of the same color), recognizing hidden insects in the forest (like in hidden object games), the puzzle of placing mirrors in correct places to reflect a sunbeam onto a cocoon to allow a butterfly to be born, aphid milking, catching newly-born little bees to get them to the nursery, and a kind of a racing game with obstacles.
