Mighty Monkey
Description
Mighty Monkey is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up loosely based on the 16th century Chinese story Journey to the West. You control the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, as he patrols the skies on his cloud, battling foes. The enemy appears in various formations, and you can cast spells to the left and right to destroy them. When elemental fire appears, this is impervious to your spells, but you can transform yourself into a dragon to consume the fire. In dragon form you cannot cast spells and are still susceptible to the attacks by the remaining enemies.
There are six stages having different enemy types and backgrounds. Destroying all of the enemies completes the stage, and after finishing all stages, the game loops with a higher level of difficulty.
