Mind Diver

Description
Mind Diver is a first-person mystery adventure game that centers on the exploration of a person’s subconscious, referred to as a Mind Ocean, to recover lost memories and uncover the truth behind a missing persons case. Players take on the role of a Mind Diver, a professional trained to navigate the mind and repair fragmented memories. Using experimental neurotechnology, the diver enters the subconscious of Lina, a woman whose boyfriend, Sebastian, has mysteriously disappeared. Within her Mind Ocean, reality and memory intermingle in vivid, surreal environments that represent her fading recollections.
Set within Lina's psyche, Mind Diver replaces traditional physical locations with dreamlike representations of her memories, distorted spaces filled with submerged rooms, floating objects, and shifting architecture. As Lina's mental state deteriorates, her memories begin to merge and decay, creating an unstable world that the diver must navigate carefully. The story explores themes of love, loss, and guilt as players uncover the truth behind Sebastian's disappearance and the dark events hidden beneath Lina's consciousness.
The game’s core loop revolves around memory reconstruction. Each fragmented memory contains a missing detail—an object, phrase, or moment—that must be identified and restored. Players explore each memory scene in first-person, listening to echoing conversations, examining environmental details, and collecting clues that point toward the correct solution. Once the missing element is deduced, the memory stabilizes and unlocks new layers of the past.
Progression is largely non-linear, as players move between different mental spaces to gather insight and build connections between memories. Logical reasoning is emphasized over trial-and-error, with every puzzle designed to follow an internally consistent narrative logic. Failure to piece together details may cause certain memories to fade.
