Miner

Miner is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The player is trapped on the alien planet Rhondahl, and their spaceship's engines have been rendered inoperable. They must acquire a Hornfelse crystal to power the hyperdrive to overcome the planet's gravitational forces.

The player controls a small character who can dig through tunnels underground. They are chased by fast-moving indigenous cavemen who continuously move towards the player, but can become stuck on walls and in corners. The spaceman must also avoid the dangerous explosives left by previous expeditions to the mines. The enemies move considerably faster than the spaceman. The player can easily dig through blue Kyper-Marl, but not into the granite mountains. The player starts with three lives.
