Minna no Machi

Minna no Machi (Everyone's Town) is a simple educational game for preschoolers designed to teach Japanese letters (hiragana) and basic vocabulary.

The game presents the player with four themed areas: apartment complex, suburb, shopping district, and public services district. Each area has nine locations, which when selected will play a short animation along with a voiced and written description of the event or object. For example, one location shows an animation of a cat feeding his goldfish, with the caption esa o ageru ("give the food").
