Monsters' Den

Monsters' Den is a simplified, combat-oriented, turn-based RPG set in typical fantasy world. What sets apart this graphical dungeon crawler from other roguelikes is that exploration is done on a room by room basis, and the user-friendly interface (tooltips) is entirely mouse driven.

The player creates a party of four adventurers (of the following classes: warrior, cleric, mage, ranger, rogue) and leads them into the depths of a randomly-generated dungeon to defeat the evil Corruptor, to fight mad cultists, the undead, greenskins and beasts, to find fame, riches... or untimely death. While there are many items to be found, there is no gold as there are no shops (these features were added in the sequels). The combat is also turn-based and does not feature movement: it is played out on a board (3x2 versus 3x2) where player's team faces a band of up to 6 enemies.
