Moriarty's Revenge

Moriarty's Revenge is a crime solving puzzle game for the Macintosh.

The player joins Scotland Yard as a member of The Irregulars, and tries to solve criminal cases for monetary rewards. The player receives an update on a crime in a specific city, and is issued a travel visa for certain number of days to solve it. The player can visit different sites in each city, and can gain clues by interviewing witnesses or looking for clues. Witnesses help determine the culprit's age, race, sex, weight, height, other distinguishing features, and the international criminal gang they are associated with. Clues provide information on the next location the suspect visited. The player can also bribe members of the underworld for specific physical descriptions. Each action and trip costs time, and the player must find and identify the criminal before time runs out.

The player has a notebook, where they can keep track of all suspect information. Even if the player doesn't catch the criminal, they can still receive a monetary reward for properly physically identifying them. The player can continue to take new cases for money and promotions.
