MotoHeroz

Description

MotoHeroz is a physics based side-scrolling racing game similar to the Trials series by the same developer. It is based on the concept of the original Wii version with the same name, but re-worked for mobile devices with a different progression system and game economy, and without multiplayer. The player steers a buggy-like car and other vehicles through short tracks. Each level has different objectives that need to be completed to earn stars, required to unlock new tracks and additional vehicles. These objectives are beating a time, beating a ghost opponent, collecting coins and so on. Each level also contains a hidden treasure chest. On mobile devices the vehicle is steered using four on-screen butters: two on the right for acceleration and braking, and two on the left for tilting the vehicle left or right. To get a fast time the environment needs to be exploited to make use of momentum, cross gaps etc.

Levels can be done as single races or as part of a career mode, each with global leaderboards. Some levels have special items such as springs to jump, a speed boost, sticky wheels to ride upside down, a jetpack to fly the vehicle and a shockwave to make obstacles in the environment explode. Coins can be collected during races and these can also be bought with real money through in-app purchases, along with coin multipliers. These coins are used to upgrade the vehicles' main statistics several times: acceleration, top speed and item boost. A full upgrade can also be performed right away for a small fee.
