Mouse Music

Mouse Music is an early learning edutainment title for children around three years old. It is entirely mouse controlled and consists of four mini games full of animated objects and sounds. The mini games are:* Old MacDonald's Farm: After a short introduction the child is shown a picture of the farm. There are three hotspots here, the farm, the pond and the cottage each of which is highlighted when the cursor rolls over it. All three hotspots open up a new picture containing lots of items which, when clicked on, make a sound and play a small animation

• The Mouse Piano: This shows the player a small, one octave piano and clicking on the keys plays a note. On the right hand side is a dial which changes the instrument's sound from a piano to sound effects or a harp. On the left is another dial which changes the tune, the default is "Old MacDonald's Farm" but "London Bridge Is Falling Down", "Polly Put The Kettle On" and "The Wheels On The Bus" are other options. These songs can be played and the words are displayed one line at a time.
• Mouse Dancing: This is a simplified version of the dance games played on other platforms. There are three dances to choose from and as each dance progresses the child is shown one of the words arms, ears, tail, or feet and they must click on the picture of the relevant body part. There are ten selections to be made per dance
• Picture Songs: There is a choice of three songs to choose from. each song consists of a series of pictures of musical instruments, piano, drum, harp, guitar etc strung together in a short sequence. When played there's a backing track over which these instruments play a couple of bars of music each in their turn. By dragging and dropping different instruments into the sequence the child can create their own music.
