Neo Atlas III

Neo ATLAS III is a further enhancement of the PlayStation iterations of the Atlas series, featuring improved graphics taking advantage of the PlayStation 2, as well as additional story content and mysteries.

As in the prior titles, you run a trading company in Portugal in the 15th century, and your goal is to explore the mysteries of the world while bringing in a tidy profit. As your admirals search far and wide, you get the privilege of believing or disbelieving in their reports of the world afar, and this influences the shape of the map as you uncover more and more of it. In turn, this affects the resources available, treasure you find, events which occur, and obstacles in your way.

Unlike prior Neo ATLAS titles, the world is a globe from the start, rather than depending on your belief in the concept as you progress. It additionally brings back the concept of discovering the "cultures" of the world as the home computer iterations did, and in this version you can enable people to migrate which affects the cultural makeup of cities and regions.
