NFS Heat Takedown

NFS Heat Takedown is an arcade racer playable by up to four players via separate linked cabinets. A steering wheel controls motion and pedals are utilized for the gas and brakes, but a Nitrous button allows for boosts of speed and gradually refills during the race. In addition to other racers, players need to watch out for police cars, a chase beginning when they notice players and leading to small roadblocks and aggressive attacks from the officers. Players can be busted by the cops and out of the race for three seconds, but they can also hit other cars with enough force to pull off a Takedown that will similarly remove a player for a few seconds.

There are five city tracks in total that take on a sprint format instead of laps, played back to back in what is called the Pro Cup. Players are able to pick from one of five vehicles when starting the cup: the Porsche 911, Corvette GS, Ford GT, Lamborghini Aventador S, and Nissan GT-R available.
