Night Driver

Night Driver is an arcade-type racer, where you race against the clock, aiming to reach as far as you can before time runs out. The gameplay is similar to the earlier Night Driver sharing the same name. The game is played from a forward facing perspective on a dark landscape, the only features visible being the side posts at the edges of the road on your left and right. Controls are just left/right and acceleration, while releasing the latter will quickly decelerate your car. No traffic is encountered during the race, and the main challenge throughout is to avoid collision with the side posts, since in that event you will be rendered immobile, losing precious seconds. On the bottom of the screen there are gauges for your current speed, mileage and time remaining.

Tracks are randomly generated upon starting a new session, while successive sessions may use the same track or generate a new one. There's also an option to render your car visible or invisible on/off the screen, to effectively toggle the game between first/third person view.
