Night of the Hermit
Description
Night of the Hermit is a free 2D click-and-point adventure game. It features an inventory and can be controlled via mouse. The game won Best Sound Effects in an AGS Game 2001. This title uses graphics from old adventure games like the Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle and Indiana Jones.
Story
The protagonist takes the role of Herman, the hermit from the first Monkey Island game. He's spent the money gained in that title and things have gone downhill since then. One day he receives a message in a bottle telling him that his grandfather is deceased and has left him a big mansion on a place called Badger Island.
So Herman leaves home and travels to Badger Island only to find out that someone else already arrived before him, claimed the building and renamed it "The Crippled Badger Hotel." Herman is determined to spend one night at the hotel and find a way to reclaim his mansion.
