Nirin

Description

Nirin is an arcade motorcycle racing game. It offers a full-body riding experience with immersive simulation-style controls. The game features five tracks, each designed with sharp turns, varied terrain, and heavy nighttime traffic that challenges players to maintain control and avoid collisions. Races take place under the cover of darkness. There are five motorcycles to choose from, ranging from a stable Maxi Scooter to an agile and aggressive Super Sports bike. Each has its own performance characteristics.

Nirin includes three main gameplay modes:

  • Single Race mode pits players against a team of seven AI-controlled riders, with a bonus game awarded for defeating the race boss.

  • Time Attack mode removes traffic for pure time-trial racing and features a ghost rider system that allows players to race against their previous runs or top leaderboard times.

  • VS Battle mode enables competitive multiplayer, with up to four linked cabinets for head-to-head racing. A challenge system allows solo races to be interrupted mid-session by challengers.

The game is played on a 42-inch HD LCD display (1368x768 resolution) and utilizes a full motorcycle controller setup. Players control their bike by physically leaning into turns using the swiveling motorbike seat, and use handlebar-mounted controls that include a twist throttle, brake, gear shifters, and a view change button. There is also a boost mechanic, which charges through hard banking turns and drafting behind vehicles.
