Novye Bremenskie

Novye Bremenskie (New Bremen Musicians) is a 2D point-and-click adventure game partially based on an animated musical movie with the same name released a month later. Its first part follows the plot of the first part of the movie, but the second part is an original story.

The protagonist is a Sleuth. Previously known from the movie's prequel as a bad guy, this time he also starts as a bad character. He wants to help the brigand's chieftain to become a Queen. She and her brigands hold a bank in the city, while the King is out of money. Troubadour and Princess live outside the castle with their son, who is studying music at the Musical Academy. The Bremen Animal Musicians are his teachers. During the game the Sleuth will change his behavior to uncover the original story.

Most of the time Sleuth is guided between static or side-scrolling screens, collecting or using the scattered items, and talking to characters to gain more items or information. The cursor has states (walk / see / get / talk) auto-selected on hovering over an interactive spot. Several mini-games representing logical puzzles need to be completed to progress. The game features music by the popular composer Gennady Gladkov and songs performed by Philip Kirkorov, Nadezhda Babkina, Mikhail Boyarsky, the ensemble "Dr. Watson" and others.
