Nyoki Nyoki: Tabidachi-hen

Nyoki Nyoki is a falling block puzzle game created by Puyo Puyo producer Masamitsu Niitani in an attempt to create a competitive multiplayer puzzle game with a gentler learning curve to becoming skilled.

Like Puyo Puyo and Pochi and Nyaa, players drop coloured game pieces as they fall from the top of the screen. The cat-themed game pieces connect to each other and form visible chains as the player places pieces of the same colour next to each other. Unlike Puyo Puyo, chains don't trigger automatically when a certain number of pieces connect together; instead, the player can transform falling game pieces into combo-starters of the same colours at any time, allowing the player to build chains at their own pace or frantically pop pieces when they're in trouble.
