Old Chest

Old Chest features five games. Each game is a single-player item-matching game that relies on grouping items of the same pattern together to remove them, with the ability to swap items each turn, and more items added each turn. The object is to score as many points as possible by making matches before the board fills up and the game stops. Games included are Alchemist, Gardener, Garret, Glowing Bugs, and Superball Challenge.

• Alchemist: Play takes place on a 8×8 board. On every turn, the player swaps any two gems on the board, then five new gems are added to the board. If five or more identical gems are grouped together, the player can choose to convert them into a single Magic Eye. The player can choose to destroy groups of five or more Magic Eyes.
• Gardener: Play takes place on a 8×8 field. On every turn, the player swaps any two plants on the board, then six new plants are added to the board. If five or more identical plants are grouped together, the player can choose to harvest them to remove them.
• Garret: Play takes place on a spiderweb with 13 strands, with space for five bugs on each strand and a spider in the middle. On every turn, the player swaps any two bugs, then four new bugs are added to the board. If five or more identical bugs are grouped together, the player can choose to eat them to remove them. Grouping between adjacent strands only occurs through the center spaces.
• Glowing Bugs: Bugs appear on the leaves of a tree. On every turn, the player swaps any two bugs, then four bugs are added to the tree. If four matching bugs are on a leaf, they can be transformed into butterflies. If a leaf fills with bugs it will get eaten. The game ends when there is only one leaf left on the tree.
• Superball Challenge: Play takes place on a 10×8 field. On every turn, the player swaps any two balls on the board, then five balls are added to the field. If five or more identical balls are grouped together, with at least one ball in one of the goal areas, the player can choose to shoot a goal to remove those balls.
